This Privacy Policy describes how Uptempo Studio LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). This policy complies with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).

1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, information automatically collected via third-party tools, and information from device permissions.

A. Personal Information You Provide:

Identity & Contact Data: First name, last name, email address, phone number.

Location Data: Address, State, Province, ZIP/Postal code, City.

Social Media Data: Profile information obtained when you connect using "Sign In with Facebook," "Sign In with Twitter," or similar services.

Payment Data: If you make a purchase, payment is processed directly by Apple Store In-App Payments and Google Play In-App Payments. We do not collect or store your full credit card number, but we receive a transaction ID and purchase token to verify the transaction.

B. Device Permissions & Information:

Contacts List (Phonebook): With your explicit permission, we may access your contacts list to [describe function, e.g., find friends, invite contacts]. This data is only accessed locally on your device or transmitted securely to our servers to facilitate social features.

Camera (Pictures): With your explicit permission, we access your camera and photo library to allow you to upload profile pictures or share content within the App.

C. Information Collected via Third-Party Tools:

Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the App. Google Analytics collects data such as device identifiers, IP address, session duration, and feature usage.

Advertising: We use AdMob by Google to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers (Advertising ID), IP address, and interaction data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following business and commercial purposes:

To create and manage your user account.

To process transactions for premium features via Apple and Google Play.

To provide customer support (responding to inquiries sent to customer-support@uptempostudio.com).

To analyze App performance and usage trends (via Google Analytics).

To display advertisements (via AdMob) to support the free features of the App.

To prevent fraud and ensure network security.

To comply with legal obligations (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, CalOPPA).

Note Regarding Emails: We do not send promotional emails or marketing newsletters. You will only receive transactional emails directly related to your account activity (e.g., password reset, purchase receipt).

3. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We do not sell your personal information to data brokers. We share information only in the following specific contexts:

Service Providers: We share data with Google (Firebase/Google Analytics & AdMob) to provide analytics and advertising services.

Payment Processors: Transaction data is shared with Apple and Google to complete in-app purchases.

Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests from public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

4. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act:

Right to Know: You can request to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months.

Right to Delete: You can request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you (subject to certain exceptions, such as completing a transaction).

Right to Correct: You can request correction of inaccurate personal information.

Right to Opt-Out: We do NOT sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by CPRA. We use AdMob, but we have configured it to use non-personalized ads where required or as per your consent status.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information: Information like precise location or contacts list is considered sensitive. We only use this information to provide the specific service requested (e.g., finding friends) and do not use it to infer characteristics about you.

5. European Union Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

Legal Basis for Processing: We process your data based on Consent (for Contacts/Camera access and Analytics/Ads), Contract (for account creation and purchases), and Legitimate Interest (for security and fraud prevention).

Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Right to Rectification: You may correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You may request the deletion of your account and associated data.

Right to Data Portability: You may request to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Right to Withdraw Consent: You may revoke permissions (Camera/Contacts) at any time via your device settings. You may also opt-out of personalized ads via your device's Ad ID settings.

6. CalOPPA Compliance (Do Not Track)
Under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), we are required to disclose how we respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Because there is no industry standard for DNT signals in mobile applications, we do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. However, you can control ad tracking by adjusting the "Limit Ad Tracking" setting on iOS or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at customer-support@uptempostudio.com. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

8. Data Retention and Security
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within 60 days, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, or fraud prevention purposes.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption of data in transit (SSL/TLS). However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
